This morning I met with my tutee Renata for the second time. She is an absolute delight and we had a very successful tutoring session. She recently learned complex prepositions in class, and needed more help with understanding them. We went over prepositions including "until", "beneath", "underneath", and "for the next". In order to help her understand these words in context, I asked her to form and speak multiple sentences including these words. By the end of our session she was able to use these prepositions correctly, and she did so with a smile on her face. It is apparent to me that she struggles a lot with pronunciation, so for our next tutoring session I will help strengthen her pronunciation skills. After leaving our session, she texted me a very sweet message thanking me for my help and claiming that she now understands complex prepositions! Receiving that text message definitely made my day and gave me immense motivation :)
