Today I met with my tutee Renata and we went over some grammar that she recently learned in class. She needed help with understanding adjective clauses as well as passive vs. active voice.  I used the internet to help me better explain both adjective clauses, and passive vs. active voice. I had her write out multiple example sentences that included adjective clauses, as well as sentences that were written in the active voice and then the passive voice. We broke down the sentences into subject, verb, object of the verb, and extra "fluff". This process of breaking down the sentences definitely seemed to help her better understand the grammar concepts. At the end of the session, Renata and I chatted a bit about our plans for the rest of the day and then made plans to meet again this Thursday.
