Kelsey Scholer Tutoring Session #2
On Tuesday, Cassie and I met again at Starbucks for a tutoring session. We planned to go over her research paper reading assignment and prepare for her upcoming presentation. In class, she has to teach the rest of the students what she learns about the article she is assigned. Because she is a very advanced speaker, this went very well. Cassie read the paper aloud to me and I corrected any pronunciation mistakes - which were minimal. I do notice that she has trouble pronouncing the letter L. I also clarified some difficult vocabulary that we came across in the reading. I asked her to then take notes on what she read so that we can discuss. By the time she was done with the notes, the hour was over so we agreed to discuss the main points at the next session.
