Adrianna TS#8

On the 22nd of November I met with my tutee Halima. She wanted help with advancing her listening skills so we found various videos, TV shows, and movies that she can watch with closed captions on. She has and Amazon Prime account so I showed her Amazon Video, and she was amazed by all of the television and movie options that are available to her. We talked about her plans for the future and how she plans on applying to graduate school at FSU once she graduates from CIES. I helped her write a personal interest statement that she will use when applying to the Speech Language Pathology Master's program at FSU. I also gave her some essay writing tips and helped her write out a professional conversation that she planned on having over the phone. Hopefully I will be meeting with Halima again this Friday!
