TS #13 Kelsey

Tutoring Session #13

As I discussed in the last post, this session was meant to be focused on academic critique writing. I explained that the writing should mirror the cultural expectations we talked about last time. I asked her to write a critique and then we would edit together. I gave her a list of vocabulary words that are commonly used in critiques. I know that she knew these words, but I thought this would be a good way to spark her writing process. These words included but were not limited to: improve upon, impressed with, mastery, room for improvement, politely suggest, and continue doing ____ well. She wrote a very good critique and little editing was necessary.
