TS #12 Kelsey

Tutoring Session #12

This session was all about writing critiques. She said that she had a critique to work on for one of her classes, so I explained that we should break this lesson into two parts. This session we would cover the cultural expectations in a critique and the next we would cover how to write one for academic purposes. So, to begin I explained that critique should always be constructive. It should start by assessing the things your subject did well. Then, you should follow with things they could improve on. Finally, you should end on a hopeful note. We discussed at length the difference in these cultural expectations, versus what the expectations are in her home country.
