Conversation Partner Meeting #4
This meeting was right after we got back from break. As I wrote about in my last post, Miguel had gone to Miami for Thanksgiving break. We talked all about his trip and what he liked and didn't like about the city. He said that his favorite part was hearing Spanish again because it made him feel at home. We talked about the differences between Miami and Tallahassee and how it's crazy that two cities that are so different can be in the same state. He said that Black Friday was more hectic than he had expected and that he spent more time waiting in line than he did actually shopping. I thought it was interesting to hear a perspective of someone who did not grow up with this as part of his culture.
