Tutoring Session #11
For this session, Cassie asked me to go over APA formatting with her. She had to write a research paper for her class and wanted to make sure she was doing everything correctly. I showed her the Owl Purdue resource, but also explained each element of APA. We then opened the document and she tried to format it based on what we had discussed. When she was finished, I corrected her mistakes. The only thing she had messed up was that she forgot to include page numbers. I think this was a successful lesson in academic writing, especially because she is starting her Master's in January.
