For this tutoring session, Khalid and I talked about some new slang words and idioms that he had picked up from his roommate. He was aware that not all of the words are appropriate for everyday conversation, and that many of them are best used in casual conversation with people who you are close to. He practiced using them in context, and we googled the origin of some of the words. I showed him a very popular website, "UrbanDictionary.com", that could help him understand other slang words or phrases that he comes across in the future. He appreciated this lesson and found many of the terms to be absurd and funny.
